The purpose of the Academy
All of !Khwa ttu’s learning initiatives and partnerships take place under the auspices of the ||Kabbo Academy. The core purpose of the academy’s context-sensitive residential internship is to create a unique bridge for young San to the world of further study, work, and business.
Kabbo Academy History
The academy’s flagship residential internship is a context-sensitive programme that has taken years to carefully develop.
How many interns attend in a year?
Between 16 and 20 interns
What they do at the Academy.

Learners participate in a residential internship programme designed to bridge the gap to further study, work, and business.

Staff and learners undergo team training to build capacity for running the rapidly growing organisation.

The academy focuses on developing San role models who are equipped to mentor young San.

Outstanding San learners receive support for further education and training through participation in the Irene Staehelin Scholarship Fund.
