Congratulations to our graduating interns!

Last week our latest class of interns celebrated their graduation, which marks an important milestone in their training and development programme. !Khwa ttu’s internship programme is designed to deliver learning that is sensitive to indigenous contexts and promotes access to further education, jobs, and alternative sustainable livelihoods for young San. Over 6 months, San facilitators and mentors deliver a residential internship to young San women and men. This includes theory and on-the-job practical training, with a focus on culture, life skills, and sustainable, heritage-based livelihoods (e.g., cultivating food and medicinal plants). These activities help to promote growth for all, through fostering entrepreneurship, health and wellness, environmental sustainability, and gender equality. A deep thank you to this term’s facilitator, Roman Ndeja, and a huge congratulations to the following interns for completing their course – we can’t wait to see what you do next!
