How far away is !Khwa ttu from Cape Town?

!Khwa ttu is about 70 km (or 45 minutes drive) away from the centre of Cape Town along the R27. You will see the !Khwa ttu sign shortly before you reach the junction of Darling and Yzerfontein. It is well sign posted.

Do you offer tours for small groups?

!Khwa ttu offers tours for groups as small as two  persons and for groups as big as 60 people. We even accommodate single persons. Tour times are: 10 am and 2 pm. !Khwa ttu is closed on Mondays.

Do tours need to be booked in advance?

Although it is advisable to book your tour a few days in advance, !Khwa ttu is flexible enough to also guide groups and individuals, who did not have time to pre-book their tour. !Khwa ttu is closed on Mondays.

What should one bring along to !Khwa ttu?

It would be advisable to wear a hat and walking shoes. In summer time both sunblock and insect repellent are also essential. During the months May to October it might rain and a cool wind might blow at the West Coast and thus it would be advisable to bring along a warm jacket and a raincoat.

Can one take photographs during the tour?

You are most welcome to take photographs while enjoying a tour with the San guides. You can ask them to stop at any point.

When do wild flowers bloom at !Khwa ttu?

During the months of August to September a variety of renosterveld flowers bloom in the most marvelous colours at !Khwa ttu.
